Vee Mampeezy Week, Part 4. Let's Dance.
Vee Week continues with some more recent songs/videos where the dancing is especially noteworthy.
Dancing is a prominent feature in most of Vee Mampeezy's videos. I haven't seen them all, so there might be a few that are dance-free (dance-less?). Today's videos are especially notable examples of fine footwork.
First up, a collaboration with the Dalom Kids, described as "a female vocal trio from South Africa who sing in Tswana. Their style is a mix between gospel-like chants and electronic disco. They had several hits in South Africa during the 1990's." Plenty of dancers are on hand, including some pantsula dancers. Pantsula is a unique style of dance that originated in South Africa.
Vee goes back to school - as a teacher - in the video for "Your Time." It's a recent song and apparently one of his most popular. He calls it "one of the best songs I have done." It's pretty much wall to wall dancing as Vee and his "students" kick up the dust.
Wonderful story-telling in the first video. And great dancing in both.
