Two Songs From The Apa Boys

Two of a perfect pair from the Apa Boys, a two-man band from Malawi.

Our name is Music of Africa. But since Africa is kind of a big place, I've mostly focussed on the music of southern Africa. Most of the installments up to this point have featured music from Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. But now we expand our reach a bit, with a pair of songs from a duo from Malawi (in southeastern Africa) - the Apa Boys.

The songs are both covers, including one from the late Oliver Mtukudzi, of Zimbabwe. It's just guitar and what appears to be homemade percussion, but the songs have a relaxed feel and I could listen to them all day long. I couldn't find any background on the group so the music will have to speak for itself.
