Tuku (Oliver Mtukudzi) On Bandcamp
20+ albums of Tuku Music at Bandcamp, covering a span of nearly 30 years.
Dumelang. There's no shortage of Oliver Mtukudzi at this site. If I had to pick a desert island musician from Africa, he would probably be the one.
So if you're a fan or if you'd like to see what Mtukudzi's music is about, check out the Oliver Mtukudzi Bandcamp page, where about a third of the albums he recorded are available, courtesy of South Africa's Gallo Music label.
Mtukudzi recorded about 65 albums in his lifetime, which came to an end in 2019. Of these, 21 are currently available at the Bandcamp page, starting with Ndipeiwo Zano (1978), by Oliver Mtukudzi and The Black Spirits, and ending up with Pfugama Unamate (2005). They're available for about five dollars each. Or, if you're really serious about Tuku Music, for a little over eighty dollars for the bunch.
