Soul Brothers - "Akabongi"

A track from a South African duo who commenced operations nearly 50 years ago.

Another one from South Africa. The Soul Brothers started doing their thing in 1974 and are still at it today, having released more then three dozen albums. Back in the late Eighties, when I was new to African music, I ran across a copy of Soul Explosion. It was an album recorded for the Earthworks label, which was part of Virgin records for a while. They turned out a lot of African music in their day. Take a look at this list.
