South Africa's Yvonne Chaka Chaka was last featured here with "Umqombothi," an upbeat song that sang the praises of home-brewed African beer. "Letter To Grandmama" came out later in her career, on her 2017 album, Keep Looking at Me, and is more low-key and comtemplative. It does a lot with a little - just an acoustic guitar, handclaps, a bit of percussion, and vocals. "Kulila," the second song embedded below, is a version of the same song that features a few guest stars.
