Pick of the Week - Thomas Mapfumo (Zimbabwe)

A song from one of the Zimbabwean musician's first albums.

I’ve had the good fortune to see Thomas Mapfumo in concert twice. I wrote about it here.

"Zvandiviringa," hails from one of his earliest albums - Hokoyo!, a 1978 album which is credited to Thomas Mapfumo & The Acid Band. It also appeared on The Best of Thomas Mapfumo: Chimurenga Forever, a 1995 album that was my introduction to his music.
