We're combining our latest Pick of the Week with our Botswana Guitar Week and featuring one of my favorite songs from guitarist, Ronnie Moipolai. It's called "Pipidi" and that means "duck."

Ronnie more or less became the face of Botswanan guitar music when a video posted to the Bokete7 YouTube channel went viral some years back. We're not talking Taylor Swift stats. But 4.3 million views isn't bad for an obscure style of guitar music played by an unknown guitarist from a southern African country. Ronnie passed in 2018.
