Pick Of The Week - Mandoza (South Africa)

Mduduzi Thembinkosi Edmund Tshabalala, aka Mandoza, was born in 1978. He died of cancer at an early age, in 2016. In the interim, he released 14 albums between 1999 and 2013. He was a practitioner of kwaito, a style of music which originated in South Africa.

I'm no expert on kwaito. To my ears it sounds like hip-hop, with house and African influences. But descriptions of the genre range all over the map.
