Pick of the Week - Juluka/Savuka/Johnny Clegg Playlist (South Africa)

A list of some of our favorite songs by Juluka and Savuka, South African bands that were co-founded or founded by the late Johnny Clegg.

I've been digging into the music of Juluka and Savuka this week. Although I've mentioned Juluka as one of the first African artists that got my attention, I only listened to a few of their albums back in the day. And I never got around to Sakuka, the group Johnny Clegg formed after Juluka broke up.

Between the two groups, they released about a dozen solo albums. Johnny Clegg, co-founder of Juluka and founder Of Savuka, released eight more.

I don't suppose I'll make too much of a dent in those twenty albums and all the other related music that's floating around out there. But I've put together a YouTube playlist that contains a few favorites and I hope to add to it as time goes on.
