Pick of the Week - Johnny and Sipho (South Africa)

An unplugged version of an old Juluka song by Johnny Clegg and Sipho Mchunu.

Our last installment was about Oliver Mtukudzi, who passed on in 2019. Also passing on, later in that same year, Johnny Clegg, the South African musician who co-founded Juluka with Sipho Mchunu and later founded Savuka.

Johnny and Sipho took part in the Black Cab Sessions, which featured musicians playing a song while riding in a taxi. Apparently the project took place some years back and is no longer a going concern.

It's not clear what the song is. At least not to me. Clegg rattles it off but I didn't catch it. But...details. It's a great song and worth a listen or three.
