The late great Zimbabwean musician, Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi, turns up here now and then. This time around I wanted to highlight a few short live performances that are worth a listen.
First up, a five-song almost acoustic set at radio station KEXP, Seattle (2013).
Second, a short snippet from the annual African Music Festival, in the Netherlands (2013).
Last is a performance of the song "Ziwere," in Portugal (2018). It's 22 minutes and it's worth sticking around for the duration.
