Music of Africa's Malawi Playlist

Our third YouTube playlist highlights the music of Malawi.

Our first YouTube playlist featured music from Botswana, much of which was previously highlighted here at the site. The list is growing steadily so be sure to check it out.

Our second playlist featured music from the late Zimbabwean musician Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi as well as covers of Tuku music, and music by his musician daughter, Selmor Mtukudzi, and son Sam Mtukudzi, who died young in an auto accident.

As was the case with Botswana, I didn't know anything about Malawi or its music when I started this site. But that's changed a bit over the course of the last nine months.

There's a lot to like in the music of this southern African country, but don't take my word for it. Try out this YouTube playlist that launched with a bunch of Malawian songs and which I'll be adding to on a regular basis.
