Dumelang. When I started Music of Africa last year, my intention was to focus primarily on the music of Zimbabwe and South Africa, with occasional forays into other countries in southern Africa.

I knew Botswana was a country in southern Africa and that it was home to guitarists who played in an unusual style and that was about the extent of it.

Nowadays, if I had to pick an African country whose music I like best, it just might be...Botswana.
