Botswana Week (Day 3) - Plus267Golden Boys
We continue our celebration of the music of Botswana.
According to Wikipedia, "The music of Botswana is minor in the world music scene." It's not for me to say if that's true. But I've noticed that when African music is mentioned, it's often music from countries that seem to have a higher profile. Let's try Nigeria, Ghana, Mali, and Senegal, for starters.
Since starting Music of Africa, I've done my part to draw attention to Botswana's "minor" music efforts. The music of this southern African country has had a "major" impact on me. I can't put a finger on why. I'll get back to you if I figure it out.

The Plus267Golden Boys got together to shoot a video with a bunch of friends and a dance party broke out. It's Botswana. It happens.
As they put it in the notes to the video, Plus267Golden Boys is a Botswana-based dance group which consists of three best friends, Bon White, Azonto Boey, and Nessa. Ka Moshapa is their first single.
It is awesome that you are doing this. I like the opportunity to be introduced to music from other parts of the continent.
