African Drinking Songs: Yvonne Chaka Chaka -"Umqombothi"

A South African singer of some renown, Yvonne Chaka Chaka escaped my attention until recently. Which is too too bad, but I’m working on catching up. Her discography seems to have cut off in the early part of this century and it appears that her time is now spent with charitable works.

"Umqombothi" is a song that sings the praises of a South African home-brewed beer. The song was featured in the movie, Hotel Rwanda, and it's an incredibly catchy tune that's likely to stay stuck in your head for a while.
