A Little More Matsieng

A live song and two others from the Botswanan group.

Matsieng's "Mmalebopo" made it onto my best of 2023 list. If pressed to put together a list of my top three songs, it probably would have been ranked there too.

The band got started a few decades ago and are apparently still a going concern. As for their name, I wasn't able to confirm that it's related to the the famous historical site in Botswana, located not far from the capital of Gaborone. But given the that Matsieng, the band, are practitioners of the traditional music that was all the rage for a while in Botswana, it seems likely.
